No. Most clients bring me in alongside an existing team, agency, or in the absence of one. I fill the gap between what your current resources can handle and what the moment actually demands — ensuring you have the communications support needed to meet your business objectives.

How is this different from hiring an agency?

Agencies charge a premium to staff a team that often doesn’t understand your business. They require rounds of proposals and education before they can produce anything useful — and even then, you’re working through layers. With me, you get one experienced communicator who learns fast, works directly with you, and can lead from day one. No account managers, no hand-offs, no delays.

How quickly can you start?

Quickly. I don’t require a lengthy onboarding process or a three-week proposal. Most engagements begin within a week of our first conversation — sometimes sooner when the situation calls for it.

How do engagements work?

Project-based or ongoing retainer — depending on what you need. Some clients bring me in for a specific situation with a clear start and end. Others want a consistent senior communications partner available on an ongoing basis. We figure out the right structure in our first conversation.

What size organizations do you work with?

The work tends to fit best when there are real stakes — a division of a larger enterprise, a growing founder-led company, a professional services firm. Size matters less than complexity. If the communications challenge is consequential, that’s where I’m most useful.

Do you work with clients outside of Cleveland?

Yes. Most of the work is remote by nature, and I’m available to support clients nationally. For engagements that benefit from on-site presence — labor negotiations, leadership events, plant-level communications — travel is available.

What does this cost?

Engagements are scoped and priced based on the nature of the work, timeline, and level of involvement required. The right structure varies significantly from one situation to the next, but rates and retainers are competitive. During our initial conversation we will figure out the most efficient structure and whether it makes sense to move forward.
